Safranbolu

Historical Safranbolu houses have a unique Ottoman style housing. The town itself is located 2.5 hours from Ankara ( the capital) and 4.5 hours from Istanbul. We first visit the Kaymakamlar Konagi' which was built in 1893. Kaymakamlar Konagi has an open courtyard, a Harem, and a welcoming room that reflects the era's culture and daily life. Oldtown Safranbolu has horse saddle, coppersmith and ironwork bazaar in the centre.

After visiting the market in town we will head to the Akcasu Canyon that has a very nice view of the town. Izzet Mehmet Pasa Mosque and Cinci Han is our next stop. We will visit the solar watch in the Koprulu Mehmet Pasa Mosque and then head to Yemeniciler Arastasi, (burka and scarfs market). We will also visit the Imren lokum (turkish delight) market. Yörük (nomad) Town is the last destination before we finish the tour!
